About ARE Ranch - Heritage & Education Mission

Lady Bella

Big sassy & sweet horse, reaching over a whopping 16.7 hands, lady Bella! She is an Appendix Breed ,rescued by our Ranch and ,miraculously survived bastards strangles through the help of at-home homeopathic herbs and treatments alone- even without Penicillin.

-Golden Nugget-

One of the last remaining horses from the Gilbert Jones herd. Although we do not know his exact age, Gilbert Jones stopped branding in 1989 — and Nugget has a brand! That means he is at least 36 or 37 years old. After retiring from endurance competitions and trail rides at the Oklahoma Heritage Horse Ranch, ol’ Golden Nugget needed to move on to pastures without stallions.
He is now truly retired with his favorite past time being eating bananas & sleeping under the shade tree.

Pheonix (aka) Tiny’s Reflection Maverick

Five years old and has switched owners five times before he returned to Oklahoma, His bloodline is pure from the original Cherokee Trail of Tears. He is sadly one of the last full-blooded Cherokee and is a gelding. Curious, sweet and your best friend pocket pony- he loves his new job of looking pretty and helping others experience horses as friends.
